Natural waterways cruise to PhongDien
Day
1: SaiGon MyTho BenTre TraVinh (L,D)

Depart to LongAn where we start riding through rice fields, lunch break in
MyTho. We pass RachMieu ferry and keep on country road to QueSon, feeling lost
on winding road under the green coconut canopy - the coconut palms that make
BenTre famous. On arrival in BenTre town, we cross HamLuong ferry and cycling
14km to Mocay and onto local ferry. We cruise over branches of mekong river to
TraVinh. Short ride 5km to enter the town. A wonderful day with picturesque
ferry crossings over Mekong River branches and islands. O/N in TraVinh.
Day
2: TraVinh CanTho. (B,L,D)

Cycling to TieuCan. We'll discover more beautiful
Theravada pagodas and encounter the Khmer monks in their pagoda. Cycling to
CauKe and onto TraOn. Ferry crossing and cycling 20km to BinhMinh, crossing
ferry to Cantho for overnight.
Optional trip: catching a local ferry from TraOn to Cantho , this will be a
beautiful boat trip, cruising up the mighty Mekong river to Cantho. Local
wooden boat ferry, good chance to chat with local people.

3: CanTho RachGia (B,L,D)

Morning
boat trip, visit floating market CaiRang and cruise to natural waterways. Then we
cycle on local route along canal to ViThanh. Lunch break. Afternoon cycling to
GoQuao and on to RachGia. O/N in RachGia.
Day
4: RachGia HaTien (B,L,D)
(~ 92km)
Ride
a long the west coast to this vibrant border town. A little limestone
mountain, mangrove swamp, beaches and rice fields that make HaTien have
special scenery. O/N in HaTien.

Day
5: HaTien ChauDoc (B,L,D)
(~100km)
Cycle
along VinhTe border canal to TriTon, we stop over for short visit to BaChuc
ossuary well known as killing field in Vietnam, followed by a ride
up the sacred Sam Mountain with its panoramic view over the vast plains of the
Mekong Delta and far into Cambodia. O/N in ChauDoc.
Day
6: ChauDoc CaoLanh (B,L,D)
(~100km)
Rising
early for a boat ride through an amazing riverside market and through floating
villages with tons of fish farmed in cages underneath water. We have more
ferries and local road to ThuanGiang and ChoMoi before heading onto Cao Lanh for
the night. O/N in CaoLanh.
Day
7: CaoLanh SaiGon (B,L)
(~80km)
Riding through the rural area of DongThap and LongAn province which is known
as "the big rice basket" of Mekong Delta. We pass many immense rice fields
along canals & rivers. A little bumpy but incredible scenic country
road. Lunch en route. Return to SaiGon at 6:00PM.
End of tour.
